Stay

For all four nights of the MonYul Gathering, you will be hosted in the homes of the residents of Sangti. They will take you in like family and you will experience Losar like a local would.

Food

From dinner on the 27th to breakfast on the 2nd, all your meals are included. Prepare yourself for a traditional culinary experience - momos, thukpa, fermented soya bean chutney and locally fermented alcohol to name a few!

Workshops

Over the 29th and 1st you can attend workshops to learn how to cook like the Monpa, make traditional paper from the bark of the tree in the jungle, learn the art of bamboo weaving and print your own traditional prayer flags. There will also be exhibits and displays around the village for you to explore!

 

Not included:

 
  • Airfare/railway charges and local transport to Sangti Valley (this can be arranged at an additional cost)

  • All food and beverages apart from the ones mentioned above.

  • Guided cycle tours around the village

  • Staff tips (if any)

  • Any personal expenditure (toiletries, medicines, etc)

  • Cost incidental to any change in the itinerary/stay on account of flight cancellation due to bad weather, ill health, roadblocks, and/or any factors beyond control

  • Anything not specifically mentioned under the head “What’s included”

  • Inner Line Permits/Protected Area Permits

What is an Inner Line Permit/Protected Area Permit?

 

An ILP/PAP is a necessary document issued by the Government of India to any and all tourists entering Arunachal Pradesh. ILP is a document required by Indians, and a PAP applies to all non-Indian tourists. You can apply for an ILP online at a cost of Rs. 100. Here’s more information on the PAP.
